About Dr. Pitchaya Chitamitara

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Pam Chitamitara, M.D., moved to Thailand at age 13, where her experiences taught her to keep an open mind. She returned to California to attend college and spent almost 10 years in New York City for her medical training. Dr. Chitamitara's interest in pediatric medicine developed out of taking care of her younger sister, her admiration for her own pediatrician growing up and her passion for science in school. Dr. Chitamitara believes in bringing a personal approach to each child, with his or her unique characteristics. She says she learns something from every one of her patients: “Children keep you on your toes as well as keep things fresh and new.” She looks forward to caring for and treating your children the way she would her own. Dr. Chitamitara and her family recently moved to the South Bay. She enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and parenting her spirited child alongside her husband.
