About Dr. Preethi Hilton
Dr. Preethi Hilton is a board-certified family medicine doctor who believes in taking care of the whole person—not just symptoms. She’s known for her thoughtful, down-to-earth approach and loves building long-term relationships with her patients.
Dr. Hilton studied Health Management and Biology at Saint Louis University, then spent time doing research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she developed a deep passion for patient-centered care. She went on to earn her medical degree from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Inspira Health in southern New Jersey, where she cared for a diverse and underserved community.
Along the way, Dr. Hilton gained extra experience in areas she feels strongly about: women’s health, nutrition, exercise, and helping patients manage their weight in healthy, sustainable ways. She believes that with the right guidance and support, prevention really is the best medicine.
Dr. Hilton’s commitment to care has also taken her beyond the U.S.—she’s participated in medical mission trips to El Salvador and Honduras. She currently serves as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and is affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
After starting her career at Leaf Medical in Long Island City, Dr. Hilton spent a short time in Richmond, Virginia, with her husband. She’s now back in New York and sees patients at Leaf’s Dumbo, Brooklyn office.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Hilton loves traveling, discovering new foods, and spending time with her husband Ben, their daughter, and their sweet Cavapoo puppy.

Highly recommend Dr. Hilton. I came in for my annual check-up and had a lot more questions than usual because I am a newly post-partum mom. I was seen promptly (even though I arrived early), and the office is welcoming, warm and clean.
Dr. Hilton was very thorough in walking through all components of the check-up, and making sure to address any concerns and questions I had. She was very warm, professional, and knowledgeable. I really appreciated that she took the time to explain the 'why' behind certain recommendations, which not all doctors do. I can't recommend Dr. Hilton enough!

Dr. Reddy is very green and her bedside manner is lacking. When I told her I was there because my OB noticed borderline high blood pressure in my recent blood test results she interrupted me and said “OBs aren’t general practitioners” (yes I know, that’s why my OB suggested I book an appointment with a general practitioner). She also very clearly does not have children because she was completely unable to relate to all of what I said related to being someone who has given birth to two children. In general I felt like she was dismissive, arrogant, and did not take the time to connect with me on an interpersonal level. In the future I am going to try to book doctor appointments with doctors who are older than me rather than younger than me in the hopes that their life experiences have given them some humility and bedside manner.

Really great facility and overall fine experience. Will be back. Dr. Reddy was lovely enough but a bit formal with little to no human connection during the visit. As this was my first visit with her, the experience did not make me feel super comfortable but rather judged and/or scolded. Fine visit but might choose somewhere else if this were not so convenient.

She is honestly the best doctor. Kind, not judgmental, great listener, and gives great advice, and most importantly, she doesn't rush, which is super rare in NY. I don't have a single negative thing to say about her. I would 100% recommend her to friends and family and I will continue to see her for as long as we are both in the same area.

I highly recommend Dr. Reddy. She was extremely friendly and very thorough when she went through my medical history as a first time patient. She listened to all of my questions and concerns, then provided answers, advice and even referral options if it was something she couldn’t do herself (e.g. orthopedic specific issues). I was concerned about what my instance would/would not cover but she flagged anything that may be an extra cost for me to look into first. The appointment did not feel rushed and the receptionist and nurse were both lovely also.
