About Dr. Preeti Mehta

Dr. Mehta is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology & Hepatology.
She is currently the Director of the Liver Clinic and Hepatology at New York Hospital Queens, a member of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System and an affiliate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
Dr. Mehta earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her residency at North Shore University Hospital and her fellowship in Gastroenterology and Advanced Endoscopy at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. She also trained in Advanced Endoscopy at SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital.
Dr. Mehta performs a wide range of basic and advanced endoscopy procedures. She has a strong interest and expertise in Endoscopic Ultrasound with Fine Needle Aspiration.
