Getting to know Priya Ali
Priya Ali received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2007. She completed a six-month internship at The Menninger Clinic after graduation before stepping into her role as a psychiatric nurse. Priya has worked in numerous hospitals across Texas and New Orleans for six years caring for children, adolescents, adults and geriatric psychiatric patients.
Furthering her career, she received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and is currently ANCC board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner across the lifespan (PMHNP-BC).
Advocating for people with mental illness has always been her passion. Priya can speak English and Urdu/Hindi fluently and incorporates culturally competent care in her practice. Mental health treatment should be holistic and patient specific. Priya looks forward to working with her patients to meet their specific needs.
