About Dr. Qaren Quartey
Dr.Quartey is a board-certified dermatologist born in Accra, Ghana and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Harvard University, followed by her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, then completed her dermatology residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Quartey specializes in eczema, psoriasis, pigmentary disorders, warts, skin cancer detection, and a wide breadth of skin conditions.
She is deeply committed to providing compassionate, personalized care by building trusting relationships with her patients. Dr. Quartey believes that listening carefully to patients’ goals and collaborating on realistic treatment plans is essential to achieving the best outcomes. Dr. Quartey is so knowledgeable and caring. She was patient during the visit and listened to my questions and concerns. I’m honestly terrible at following through with my meds, but she gave me a fix for my skin that I could easily follow and has me looking radiant. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience at this practice. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful as I checked in. I appreciate that there was minimal wait time to see the provider. Dr. Quartey was kind and welcoming. She listened attentively to my concerns and provided direction on how to resolve my concerns. I thought she was compassionate and particularly knowledgable about how to care for skin of color. The office is also beautiful! Overall, it was a very welcoming, and knowledgable, practice.

She took the time to listen to my concerns, explain everything clearly, and make sure I felt comfortable with the treatment plan. I never felt rushed and her bedside manner was excellent. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dermatologist!

10/10 one of the best experiences I have had at a dermatologist. The clear communication and willingness to answer even my silly questions. Extremely patient and transparent with the quickest time I have ever had to get any procedure done!

Dr. Quartey is knowledgeable about dermatology and great with people, one of the times she helped me was when I had eczema in the lower part of my chest because of sweat, the anti-fungal cream she told me to get fixed the issue, I’m glad I chose her!
