I am Dr. Quinn Yen, a board-certified psychiatrist located in Boulder, CO. I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro University in Henderson and completed my psychiatry residency at HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge. I specialize in depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, insomnia, and bipolar disorder. I work with teens (16+) and adults throughout Colorado. Both in-person and online appointments are available.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I practice evidence based medicine, with an emphasis on simple and effective medication regimens. Many medication lists can be long and lead to feeling overmedicated while the root cause is left untreated. I work closely with each patient to carefully discuss concerns and goals in order to develop an efficient and targeted treatment plan.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Everything starts with an initial 1-hour new patient appointment where we work together to understand your needs and goals for treatment. Follow-up appointments typically take place 1 to 4 weeks after the new patient appointment.

Dr. Quinn was very understanding and good at explaining decisions we made regarding my mental health. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. I felt welcomed and understood.
Dr. Quinn had various solutions to a variety of issues. His solutions were not all medication based, which I liked. I feel stronger and better equipped to handle the issues I face. I can't thank him enough. He did a great GRRAT job and I am very appreciative.

Dr Yen does a great job. He is attentive in how he listens to patients and is actively interested in getting you on the right medication at the right dose. Which unfortunately has not always been my experience with other doctors.

I was referred to Dr. Yen by a friend and he was an excellent provider to see. He was prompt, listened to my concerns, answered my questions and was thorough in his evaluation . He was empathetic, professional and thoughtful in his recommendations and treatment plan. He followed up to make sure that what he prescribed was effective and appropriate. I would highly recommend him to others.
