My surgery and recovery went very smoothly, Dr. Nemr went above and beyond, calling me on my cell phone and visiting at my bedside multiple times after surgery. That level of care truly shows how dedicated he is to his patients.
I also have to mention how amazing Stephanie is. She helped me every step of the way—especially with navigating the insurance process and making sure everything went smoothly. About Dr. Rabih Nemr
Board-certified in general and bariatric surgery, Dr. Nemr specializes in minimally invasive and robotic weight loss procedures, including sleeve gastrectomy (gastric sleeve) and gastric bypass. With over 15 years of experience, he practices in Staten Island and Brooklyn, affiliated with SIUH and RUMC.
He completed his training at SUNY Downstate and New York Medical College and previously served on surgical teams at NYU, Maimonides, and Weill Cornell. Now, he leads Staten Island Bariatrics and Park Slope Comprehensive Medical Center.

I have been to Dr appointments that last 5 minutes and you walk out feeling like they already forgot your name. I chose Dr. Nemr and his office for my surgery because he made me feel like a partner in my treatment and spent time talking to me about my every concern. I only have good things to say about his treatment, the Staten Island hospital where I had my surgery and all the staff. I want to also say, I did a lot of reading about the surgery and the discomfort normally experienced. Dr Nemr's technique avoided that for me. It was so much easier than I could have dreamed. Dr. Nemr discusses Bariatric surgery as a tool to use along with a more whole approach to health, not as a fix.

Excellent doctor! From the 1st visit through surgery and post op, all appointments are handled with patience and ease. Dr. Nemr is so easy to speak to and makes the whole surgery process a breeze. Highly recommend!!

Excellent surgeon with the best bedside manner! If you’re looking for surgery in his field seriously look no further because Dr. Nemr is simply the BEST! From the moment I walked in the door, I felt at ease. I am very nervous going to doctors especially when planning to have a surgery but Dr. Nemr & Stephanie kept me calm the entire time. He takes his time to explain and make sure to answer any of your questions and puts your worries at bay. My only wish is that I could have him as my primary care doctor!

I had 2 surgeries with Dr. Nemr. One was general surgery and the other was bariatric surgery; I was beyond happy with both. Dr. Nemr is professional, sympathetic, and approaches each patient with great detail and compassion. He walks you through the process every step of the way. He is talented and skilled in his craft. Both procedures went amazing; I am extremely thankful that I was under his care. His office staff fully supports you from start to finish, and beyond. Always there to answer questions, provide logistical support, and so much more. The team is wonderful! I couldn’t ask for a better outcome.
