About Dr. Rachael Sussman
Dr. Rachael Sussman is an attending urologist/urogynecologist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Urology. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive individualized treatment to the residents of Washington, DC. Dr. Sussman focuses on urinary dysfunction, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and other pelvic floor disorders.
Dr. Sussman began her journey with a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University. She then earned her medical degree from the University of Connecticut. She completed her residency in urology at Georgetown University Hospital, where she was the recipient of the resident of the year award. She pursued her fellowship training in urogynecology at New York University. A keen researcher, Dr. Sussman has also authored several articles in the field of urology.
Dr. Sussman is an active member of the Bellevue Obstetrical & Gynecological Society, Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction, and the American Urological Association. Fluent in English and Spanish, she is approachable by individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Dr Rachel is amazing and I really like her. She is not the bare minimum type at all. She is the above and beyond type. She cares and her only goal is to solve your urinary issues. Also she will help guide you to the correct path even if your issues are not particularly urinary related. Her bedside manner is the best I have experienced in a long time. She was on time and willing and able to assist by any means. The MA was really attentive and helpful, The front desk staff were as well. I have definitely found my new Urologist ??
