Rachael Touma is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders across the lifespan. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her nursing career began at the University of Oklahoma, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northeastern State University.
Professionally, Rachael has a diverse background, having practiced in various psychiatric treatment settings, including acute inpatient, residential inpatient, outpatient private practice, and outpatient community mental health. Her passion for behavioral health began in 2009 while working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, traumatic brain injuries, and Reactive Attachment Disorder.
Over the years, she has gained extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, attention-deficit disorder, mood disorders, psychosis, and personality disorders, among others. She is also proud to serve individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. Committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment, Rachael provides personalized, evidence-based care that respects each person’s identity and unique journey.
Passionate about promoting mental well-being, she offers a non-judgmental space where clients can explore their challenges and receive the care they deserve. She takes an individualized approach by tailoring treatment plans specifically to each patient, believing that a healthy, trusting patient-provider relationship is the foundation of her practice. Rachael promotes mental wellness through a variety of interventions, including medication management, pharmacogenomic testing, brief psychotherapy, and education. She is a proud member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
