Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
IL
I am a doctorally prepared and Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. My main areas of focus include symptoms and Medication management. I practice evidence-based, patient-centered care and always aim to provide the best care possible. I have over 16 years of nursing experience and am extensively experienced in psychiatric nursing. I create a supportive and judgment-free space for patients. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In our first session, we'll explore what brought you for treatment and decide the most appropriate ways to help you progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to improve your feelings. I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family, ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Sleep disorders, and Mood Disorders. Initial appointment entails listening to the patient's detailed history, talking about current stressors, and working on the patient's goals of treatment. Our follow-up appointments will be aimed at reviewing progress and making needed adjustments until we find the best balance for the patient. I am passionate about improving access to mental health care for all. My goal is to eradicate the stigma and bias associated with mental health by rendering compassionate, holistic, and culturally competent care to my patients. This, in the long run, helps in living and maintaining an optimal quality of life. My goal includes the provision of a supportive and healing environment where patients can explore their challenges and work towards healthy mental and emotional well-being. Treatment plans are tailored to meet individual, unique needs and goals. Our initial appointment entails listening to the patient's detailed history, talking about current stressors, and working on the patient's goals of treatment.

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS DOCTOR. Extremely rude, literally only wants to hear herself talk. GOD COMPLEX. Got on the call 2 minutes late due to her office requiring a third party video service that wasn’t working, and when talking about why I requested the meeting, asked if my condition was why I was late to the appointment! She then proceeded to cut me off multiple times after asking me personal questions, and when I would try to continue talking she would consistently interrupt by asking if I was “done yet.” Made it clear she did not believe anything I said regarding past experiences and medications, constantly challenging me on everything I said, which is weird because she couldn’t even hear me over her own condescension! Never been told multiple times by a doctor that I indeed have not tried a medication which I started with, no less upon first meeting! Truly pushing said medication on me was a completely new medical experience!
