Dr. Rachel Dunagin is a proud Texan, having been born and raised in Dallas and a graduate of Lake Highlands High School. With a passion for the field of medicine, she went on to earn her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science with honors from Texas A&M University, followed by her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Dunagin's expertise in Internal Medicine was honed through her residency at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, where her exceptional medical skills earned her the accolades of Teaching Resident of the Year from UT Southwestern Medical School, the Presbyterian Emergency Room Resident Award, and her election to the Resident's Council. Her commitment to service is evident through her participation in community health screening fairs and her life-changing medical mission trip to the rugged mountains of Guatemala. Before joining Internal Medicine Associates of Plano, Dr. Dunagin maintained a private practice in Dallas, specializing in preventative medicine and the treatment of conditions such as hypertension, migraines, asthma, and cholesterol disease. Thank you for caring and being a ‘real’ doctor.” In addition to her medical pursuits, Dr. Dunagin's faith plays an important role in her life, and she actively serves her community through her involvement at Chase Oaks Church, where she has held leadership positions in various ministry groups, including the Women's Bible Study, MOM's Ministry, and Life Hurts God Heals.
