About Rachel Lau
Rachel Lau is a nationally certified physician assistant. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount University in Business Marketing. While at LMU, she played on the Division I Women’s Waterpolo Team. Prior to her lifelong pursuit of being a physician assistant, Rachel spent several years in post-operative orthopedic care working closely with top professional sports team physicians in the Los Angeles Area. She then went on to get her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
Rachel has experience in both cosmetic and general dermatology. She treats acne, sun damage, rashes, warts, hair-loss and various skin diseases. She also has experience with Botox, fillers, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, sclerotherapy and more.
She is a member of the California Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She lives in the South Bay with her husband and 2 daughters. Rachel enjoys running, swimming and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Rachel Lau was amazing! I’ve never been to a dermatologist before and was a little nervous but she assured me that she could help. Explained everything clearly and made sure I understood. Will be a reoccurring patient and Would highly recommend !!!

I saw Rachel for my annual skin cancer check. She was friendly, direct, clear spoken, obviously well qualified. She asked pertinent questions. She offered a couple suggestions for additional treatment which were helpful and I signed up. I'm glad I made the change to her as my new dermatologist.

I unfortunately have the worst of two evils in that I have psoriasis and eczema, after years of doctors visits, seeing specialists, allergists, etc. I finally found Rachel Lau, who is a godsend. She took the time to listen and honestly, she has the most amazing bedside manner. She’s caring and compassionate. With Rachel, I finally feel like I will find relief from this otherwise excruciating, bothersome condition. Rachel Lau is an angel.
