Dr. Martin is a native to Arizona, growing up locally right here in Glendale. She attended the University of Arizona in Tucson where she studied physiology and chemistry graduating with a Bachelor of Science. Once finished with undergraduate, she moved to Prescott, Arizona to enjoy the cooler weather and work as a pharmacy technician. While in Prescott she stumbled upon podiatry and knew it was the career for her. After discovering her passion for podiatry she moved to Oakland, California to attend Samuel Merritt University for medical school. During her fourth year of externships she traveled everywhere from Hoboken, New Jersey to Portland, Oregon. That is how she discovered her residency program in Indianapolis, Indiana. During her time in residency she received outstanding rearfoot and forefoot training. She worked with over 50 different attendings who specialized in a wide variety of procedures in which she was able to pick the best techniques from each individual. She takes a special interest in wound care, bunions, Achilles tendinitis, arthritic joints, tarsal tunnel releases, Charcot reconstruction surgery, and limb salvage. She loves to see all foot pathologies no matter how big or how small they may be. Outside of work she loves to spend time with her husband, Blake, their two cats, Onyx and Pepper, and their dog Theia. They enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, paddle boarding and playing pickle ball. Moving back home has allowed her to spend more time with her extended family, with whom she can play board games and watch football with on the weekends. Dr. Martin traveled all around the U.S. and is happy to settle down in the neighborhood she grew up in, this way she can give back to the local community.
