However, there's no denying that relationships are hard, and sometimes even a little bit messy, especially when life throws unexpected obstacles our way. Relationships are complex, whether it be the relationship you have with yourself or those with your parents, siblings, partner, family members, friends, or co-workers. Maybe you are having a hard time being kind to yourself, or you're feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or stuck. Perhaps you are feeling disconnected, frustrated, or unappreciated in your relationships. Or you might be on a journey of personal growth or seeking to strengthen your relationships but are not sure where to start. I view therapy as a space for clients to seek growth, explore helpful solutions, and cultivate meaningful relationships. I help individuals, couples, and families connect with themselves, with others, and with the things that bring purpose to their lives to create lasting change. As a therapist, I believe you are the expert on your life, and I am simply the expert on creating change; we can work together to reach your goals. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University, a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University, and a Ph.D. in Medical Family Therapy from Saint Louis University.

More information on payments and coverage

A deposit is required to reserve your initial appointment with one of our therapists. The deposit is equal to the cost of your first session and will be applied to that session automatically once the session has been completed. However, as per our general financial policy, if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance, this deposit can be refunded back to you upon request or applied to your first session if you reschedule. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment or no show, this deposit will not be refunded or applied to future sessions. Our clinicians’ time is important to us and to others who are hoping to utilize the open slots on their schedules, so we do ask that you notify us as soon as you know you won’t be able to make it so we can make that slot open to others who are in need of therapeutic assistance. Payment in full is expected at the time of service. Our fee structure is based on an hourly rate. If sessions lasting longer than an hour are scheduled or occur, the fee will be prorated at the same hourly rate. Will I Be Reimbursed for Out-Of-Network Therapy? In most cases, yes. Stanford Couples Counseling is happy to offer a superbill upon request which you may be able to file with your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement. This means you will need to pay your therapist for the entire session when you receive their services, but your insurance company may be able to send you a check to reimburse a portion of the cost once you file an out-of-network reimbursement claim. **Please contact your insurance provider to check whether you qualify for out-of-network reimbursement benefits** .
