Getting to know Rachel Otubuah

You really can find enjoyment, fulfillment, and peace in this life! Many see mental illness as a debilitating disability with little hope to live life to the fullest. I can assure you that there is hope, fulfillment, support, and peace within your reach. My clients tell me I treat them as a person, not a disease. I want to help you take control of your life even with mental illness. I am committed to helping you achieve a life free of limitations, fears, and failures. Do not let trauma, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, or depression hold you back from reaching your potential and enjoying life to the fullest. I want you to be able to find meaning and purpose in work, spirituality, relationships, family, and all areas of life. I know there is a stigma with mental illness, so mastering the courage to call a mental health provider can be scary and intimidating, but I hope you will take a leap of faith and try me. During my many years of working as a certified mental health provider, I have helped individuals and families-children, adolescents, and adults-with ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism, ODD, personality disorders, and many other disorders find balance and stability in life. I hold a Doctor of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Global. Get to know me through my social media platforms @Rayherbpsych.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I really appreciate her wholistic and data backed approach. It’s nice to have a medication manager who looks at the whole picture and integrates proven methodologies beyond just pushing medication. She also doesn’t push medication which is refreshing. I also appreciate that she supports people of faith integrate their spiritual beliefs into whole person healing so that not everything is compartmentalized but blended to remove internal barriers and conflict and offer a higher level of freedom.

Dr. Otubuah is warm and child-centered.
She is very helpful. She actually listens to you and cares about how your life is going. I have been to many psychiatrists that are just cold and very matter of fact and have a quick 5 minute session and prescribe me something but that is not my experience with Dr. Otubuah
I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care I received from my psychiatrist. Her expertise, Compassion, And dedication have made a significant impact on my mental health journey.
