About Dr. Raffaella Buffolino
Dr. Buffolino is a native New Yorker, born and raised on Long Island. She attended Adelphi University, receiving her Bachelors of Science in Biology with departmental honors. As a student there, she was secretary of both the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society and the Delta Delta Delta Biology Honor Society.
Dr. Buffolino also worked as a researcher at a lab on campus, where she expanded her expertise in the field of science by investigating genetic mutations in plants. After graduation, she continued her education on to New York College of Podiatric Medicine. The school is located in New York City where many of the most prestigious health care institutions in the world are found. NYCPM has established affiliations with many of these, including Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation.
Dr. Buffolino completed a four year residency at New York Hospital of Queens in Flushing. An extensive residency devoted to all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including trauma, reconstruction, arthroscopy and endoscopy surgery as well as medical management of podiatric pathologies. During her fourth year, she resided as Chief Resident. With an additional year following of fellowship training in Wound Care and Advance Tissue Healing including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital.

Wonderful experience. Some doctors spend 3 minutes with you and can't wait to leave the room - not Dr. Buffolino. She spent nearly 20 minutes with me, answered all my questions and concerns, went over my options, all of it. I was really happy. 10/10 would recommend to anybody.

Dr. Buffolino not only remedied my ailment, but she did so with great bedside manner. She explained what she was doing and why every step of the way. I had a little hiccup during my procedure (not at the fault of the Dr.) and she reacted quickly and appropriately to make sure I was okay. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a podiatrist in the RVC area!

I recommend filling out the paperwork before coming (I didn't notice, otherwise I would have). Dr. Buffolino saw me right away after my paperwork was completed and thoroughly explained everything to me. I like that she has appointments at night.
