Getting to know Raina Norris

Compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and follow-up care for children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and related conditions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a compassionate, collaborative, and judgment-free space where clients feel heard and respected. My approach is individualized and patient-centered, with a focus on understanding your unique history, symptoms, and goals so we can create a treatment plan that fits your needs. I believe in clear communication, shared decision-making, and practical support that helps you feel more in control and confident in your care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My typical process begins with a thorough psychiatric evaluation where I learn about your current symptoms, personal history, medical history, and treatment goals. From there, I work with you to develop an individualized plan that may include medication management, education about your diagnosis, and supportive guidance. I do not provide traditional talk therapy, but I do take a collaborative, supportive approach and may incorporate therapy-informed techniques as part of your treatment. My goal is to make each visit feel comfortable, clear, and focused on helping you move toward stability and improved well-being.

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $150 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $100 for 30 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

More information on payments and coverage

I accept insurance and will verify coverage as part of the intake process whenever possible. Copays, deductibles, and any out-of-pocket costs depend on your individual plan, so I encourage clients to confirm their benefits before the first visit. Payment is typically collected at the time of service, and I’m happy to help answer basic questions about coverage or next steps so the process feels clear and straightforward.
