Impolite and unprofessional. Have been on same medication for 3+ years and without a civil conversation he made me feel like a drug abuser. Shocked, I agreed to come back after my MRI, but I will never waste an hour of my life commuting to this joke of a pain management specialist again.

Dr. Ramesh Sawhney is incredible! I have been seeing all different types of doctors over the last 8-9 years for my chronic back pain. Dr. Sawhney is the only doctor I have seen who thinks outside the box with regards to treatment options. So far he has helped my pain more in 3 months than all my previous procedures/doctors elsewhere. He also wants to know you as a person and never rushes the appointments to see another patient. Best doctor I know and I feel so lucky to be under his care.

Overall it was alright. However, id rather try something even MORE holistic for my chronic neck pain. He's okay, but my definition of surgery is being cut opened and then sewn back up, literally. An injection or several injections is NOT surgery, no matter how dumb a doctor thinks their patient is.

I liked his approach blending western and Indian medicines to treat my lower back pain. He and his receptionist were super nice. The only downside was having to fill out my information twice but that in no way detracts from my experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing back pain.

I'm the type of patient that likes to know and understand things before doing them. Dr. Sawhney could have taken more time to explain the plan and how it works. Perhaps I could have been clearer also but in the middle of me asking questions about how this medicine is supposed to work, he was already preparing the needle and getting ready to inject it. I wasn't done. The whole visit took about 7-8 minutes and I left without understanding what was just done to me.

Stay away from here! This place is a scam. The doctor comes off very sweet and caring but the staff is rude rude rude!! Especially the receptionist Hema!! So unprofessional! They have shady business practices especially with their billing. Once you question them about charges they give you the run around. It's a headache. Avoid it! They must be up to no good. Trying to scam innocent people!

I couldn't believe I finally found a doctor that truly cared about helping me. I have a few conditions that needed to be addressed and I've been bounced around from doctor to doctor that were either not very knowledgeable or just didn't care to help me. This was my first visit here and immediately I was taken in for a patient in-take by the chiropractor. He wanted a thorough understanding of everything going on; I immediately knew I was at the right place. Dr. Sawhney then saw me, where he provided treatment on the spot that immediately reduced the inflammation I was having. He gave me a thorough analysis of what was going on and then explained the treatment he would be providing. He's taking a holistic approach to my condition with a number of natural treatments which is exactly what i wanted. I couldn't be happier with finding this doctor. Such a relief!!

Absolutely awful experience. I went to Dr. Sawhney for a pre-travel consultation, since he is listed as a travel medicine specialist. Dr. Sawhney eventually talked me into getting three vaccinations. He showed me the bottles afterwards to confirm that the shots he administered were the vaccines we discussed, and I saw that 2 of the vaccines were past their expiration date! Dr. Sawhney then tried to explain that these were the "manufactured on" dates (despite the fact that the dates said "EXP"), and then tried to explain that these expiration dates were only for "unrefrigerated" vaccines. He also said he would follow up with me the next day after talking to the vaccine manufacturer, but never did. I had to go to another doctor a few days later to get vaccinated again (she was also horrified by my story).
In addition, I had talked to the receptionist on the phone for about ten minutes before coming into the office, and she had reassured me that these vaccinations would be covered by my insurance (she even said she called my insurance to check). This turned out to be completely incorrect. For an office that claims to specialize in travel medicine, I would expect the receptionist to be more accurate about insurance coverage for vaccinations, particularly after claiming to have checked with my insurance company. The receptionist also forgot to check me in (despite the fact that the office was almost completely empty) so I wound up waiting a long time for no reason.
Finally, I later found out that in his attempts to sell me these vaccines, Dr. Sawhney misrepresented the risks involved (i.e., one of these viruses is only transmitted through infected blood, but he led me to believe it could be spread through food and water). Since my insurance does not cover vaccinations, I paid out of pocket (which I didn't mind, since I thought these vaccines were important), but I also later found that these vaccines are widely available at a fraction of what Dr. Sawhney charged me.
Stay away.

In one intro appointment with Dr. Sawhney, my chronic back pain was remarkably improved. Not fixed, and he's very clear that fixing bodies is a holistic process that takes a long time, and a comprehensive approach, but improved to the level that back pain is not an all-day every-day issue for me.
He and his staff have impeccable bedside manner, can discuss any issues with you in detail and comprehensively, without judgement or shaming. Having a rather sorted and distrustful relationship with doctors I was surprised by what a pleasant experience it was, and have total trust that in the next few months, my issues will be resolved with Dr. Sawhney's help.
If you're in pain right now, stop reading reviews and make an appointment with this guy.

I am so grateful that I found Dr. Sawhney. After an intense cycling trip, I wound up reactivating an injury to my cervical spine. With four herniated discs in my neck and radiating pain down my arm and into my hand, I was suffering terribly. I couldn't sleep and was basically unable to participate in any normal daily activities. After two weeks of chiropractic visits and narcotic pain medications with no relief, I was desperate. Thankfully, I discovered Dr. Sawhney on ZocDoc.
Dr. Sawhney's office is different than most doctor's offices. The waiting room is calm and peaceful-- not crowded. The staff is attentive and thoughtful and after I was consistently seen by Dr. Sawhney within five minutes of my arrival. On my first visit we sat together in his office and he listened carefully and took notes while I explained what was happening. Throughout the course of my treatment, he was always willing to answer my questions and to explain the treatment he was giving me, how and why it would work. I always felt that I was heard and I always left his office feeling like I had a good understanding of how I was progressing and what I could do at home to help my body heal.
It is now three weeks since I first saw Dr. Sawhney and I feel a lot better. I sleep through the night without pain, I'm able to be out with friends and family, I can cook and work (I'm a teacher) and I'm ready to start yoga and swimming.

Firstly, he is a very interesting man. Fun to talk to. He uses cutting edge medical know-how to treat his patients, which is awesome. My pain was noticeably lessened with each treatment. It came back, which sucked, but he says with subsequent treatments it may go away permanently! How cool would that be!? I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do for me in the future.

As a continuing patient of Dr. Sawhney, I have to say, he's still the best doctor I have ever seen! I still remember the first appointment I had with Dr. Sawhney.. I was an elite gymnast and was in severe chronic pain; I was bed ridden for months, was depressed, and had no insurance. I could barely walk. And being a gymnast training for the Olympics, we were taught to tolerate pain which unfortunately caused my injuries to get worse over time. I had my first visit with Dr. Sawhney, and I felt relief for the first time in what seemed like ions! I was able to walk out on my own! I still have a long way to go, but since then, it's only gotten better! He truly cares about his patients and wants to help you. He even found the root of my problem, that all those other doctors oversaw. As his patient, he treats me like family and when your going through rough times, that's all I can ask for! He really is a god send and I can't thank you enough! I highly recommend anyone that's in chronic pain due to sport injuries or in chronic pain to go see him! Not only is Dr Sawhney the best, but his staff Tara and Emma are on top of it! What else's can you ask for?

It took 3 years to find a Dr. that knew how to treat my condition. I have been with him for 15 years and will follow him where ever he goes. We have met at many different offices and he has always gone out of his way to make sure he see's me.

I have been sick for 19 years and have seen many many doctors and NO ONE is as professional, patient, dedicated, knowledgeable, and nice as he is! Dr. Sawhney is, by far, the best pain management doctor I have seen. He spends as much time with you as you need and makes you feel 100% comfortable. Im an ex elite gymnast turned coach, with no insurance. And after looking for a doctor to help me manage my chronic pain so I can have a normal life seemed impossible... Until I found Dr. Sawhney, who's an absolute god send. I honestly can't say enough about him... Not only is he one of the best doctors I had ever seen but he actually is one of "the best" doctors in the country! The minute I walked into his office, he welcomed me with open arms and wanted to help me regardless of not having insurance. He actually did a procedure right then and there and i had relief for a few days! It was amazing! He even addressed and found other problems that other doctors, hence orthopedic, didn't find! I really can't say enough about dr. Sawhney! I felt so comfortable around him and the fact that he's an over achiever makes me believe he will help me. We still have a long way to go... But he has a track record of helping other athletes, I know he can help me! Thank you dr. Sawhney! You really are the best!!
