About Dr. Rami Abdou
I am a California native and completed my education at the University of California Davis and Boston University School of Medicine, earning several accomplishments including the prestigious Poplack Award for excellent patient care and competence in medicine. I was also inducted into the highly selective Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and earned the Gold Humanism in Medicine Award.
I completed my residency training and board certification in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Rutgers University, serving as Chief Resident. During this time, I published articles in the prestigious Otolaryngology Clinics and taught many other trainees along the way.
I am interested in the entire breadth and scope of Otolaryngology with particular interest in Nasal and sinus-related conditions, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Sleep Medicine, and Office-based procedures. I also specialize in Head & Neck surgery - particularly that of the thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary glands. Throughout my clinical practice in various parts of the country, I have earned the ‘Top Doctors’ Award and have been recognized amongst ‘Super Doctors Rising Stars’.
Outside of the clinic, I love community engagement, physical fitness, and nutritional wellness. I enjoy cycling and have completed two AIDS/Lifecycle rides - a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles that seeks to raise funds in support of organizations working to treat and support patients with HIV and AIDS. I am also a budding chef, enjoy traveling, exploring the beautiful California outdoors, and spending time with my dog Enzo.

I wanted to see an ENT to dig deeper into the causes of my recurring ear infections, and I could not have asked for a better experience. Dr. Rami was extremely thorough and willing to explain every detail and answer every question that I had.
He also really takes the time to get to know me in each appointment and understand what my underlying issues are. He is truly a provider who CARES and wants to help you find a real solution, not a quick fix to just get you out of his office. I also love the efficient scheduling and payment system. I’ve been suffering from migraines and tension headaches for over 40 years. Dozens of doctors tried treating me with migraine medications, but nothing ever truly worked—because the real issue was with my sinuses. Dr. Abdou was the first doctor to truly listen and look deeper. Instead of just prescribing more medication, he recommended surgery, and it was life-changing.
Dr. Abdou was professional, compassionate, and incredibly thorough. He explained every step of the process and truly held my hand through it all. He even went the extra mile to work directly with my insurance company because he understood how much I needed the surgery.
Thanks to Dr. Abdou, I finally have relief after decades of pain. I can’t recommend him highly enough—he’s truly an exceptional doctor.

Dr. Rami is an amazing doctor. He really took the time to talk with me about my condition and it really felt like he really cared about finding the solutions to my problem. He took the time to explain to me in detail everything that was wrong with my nose, it really felt like he really cared about finding the solutions to my problem and he was going to do his absolute best to make sure I was healed. I took my mom to see Dr. Abdou for an evaluation of her hearing loss. Dr. Abdou was very caring and kind. He sent his report to my mom’s PCP and to my email shortly after the visit. The only inconvenience was that there were no chairs in the registration room, so when my mom arrived early, she had nowhere to sit and rest.
