Dietitian

Hi there! I’ve been in your shoes—confused about nutrition and feeling bad about my food choices. Now, my mission is to help others get unstuck in making heart-healthy eating changes to improve their heart health and end the struggle of feeling guilty or shameful about eating. I have enjoyed cooking since childhood. The way food is transformed in the kitchen has always fascinated me. As I grew older, I constantly tried to modify recipes to create healthier dishes. As an adult, this hobby turned into a passion as I discovered how nutrition plays a vital role in bodily health. I earned my Master’s in Nutrition from California State University, which deepened my understanding and skills. Now, I provide Nutrition Therapy tailored to individuals to help manage cholesterol, blood sugar, and weight while practicing mindful eating techniques to be in charge and feel good about their food choices. My goal is to share nutrition knowledge with those struggling with elevated cholesterol levels, yo-yo dieting, feeling out of control around food, constant overeating, elevated blood sugar levels, or feeling overwhelmed about ways to eat to prevent heart disease from progressing. I focus on translating hard science into actionable tips and advice that are easy to implement into clients’ lifestyles. As a trained mindful eating facilitator, I strongly believe that many variables impact our eating patterns—stress, volatile emotions, social pressures, habits, dieting history, and more. I am a registered dietitian nutritionist based in Long Beach, California, offering 100% virtual services. I am currently accepting new patients and am in-network with Blue Shield of California and Medicare. Medicare only offers nutrition benefits for those with a diabetes diagnosis (not prediabetes) and renal disease stage 5 not on dialysis.

Is not covered despite what it says on the app. For blue shield Gold, you have to have diabetes for a nutritionist to be covered. I was told by the provider that my insurance does not cover the appointment at the end of the appointment so it was too late. Now I have to pay 180$ out of pocket. Check with your insurance before booking.
