Dr. Ranjith Krishnankutty is an American Board-Certified General and Bariatric Surgeon, with Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery. He was born and raised in South India, where he also attended Medical School at Medical College Thiruvananthapuram. After graduating medical school, he moved to the United States and initially completed a Master's degree in Biochemistry at the University of Georgia before joining the University of Pennsylvania Surgery Residency program where he completed his internship. In 2015, he completed his General Surgery Residency at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital, NY. Subsequently, he further went on to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016 and to receive his Board Certification the same year. After fellowship, he moved back to India, where he practiced for two years as a Minimally Invasive and General surgeon, taking care of numerous patients in a rural setting. Subsequently he returned to the United States in 2019, joining his family in Houston. Dr. Krishnankutty is a meticulous surgeon, proficient in Minimally Invasive Surgical techniques and serves his patients with respect and compassion. Dr. Krishnankutty welcomes new patients and referrals. When appropriate, the practice does offer telehealth visits.
