I initially went in for some acne on my neck and asks me if I would be okay taking off my glasses and he identified cancer, biopsied it and confirmed it was cancer so it could be removed. He is patient and reviews various courses of treatment for things and cares about the patient’s concerns in determining which game plan to pursue. I am coming back to him again and bringing my family for routine checks. Great note: the two other docs I saw there briefly had the same professional and extremely caring approach. A+!!! Extra side note: parking is easy!!”

About Dr. Raymond Kleinfelder
Dr. Raymond E. Kleinfelder III is a board-certified dermatologist and a native of Buffalo, New York. He is a graduate of Canisius College, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Sociology. Dr. Kleinfelder attended medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. After a medical internship at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan, Dr. Kleinfelder completed his dermatology residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident. While in Miami, Dr. Kleinfelder also worked as a research fellow at The Center for Clinical and Cosmetic Research. He has contributed to the field as a sub-investigator and authored numerous articles in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Kleinfelder continues to teach, consult, and, most importantly, practice compassionate care for his patients of all ages and skin types.

This was a great experience! I was able to get into see the provider and book quickly. The office was clean and easy to access. Parking wasn't validated, but I knew that ahead of time and the parking garage close to the office was super easy to navigate. The provider was on time and everyone was super friendly and helpful. I felt like I was able to ask questions and was listened to, not judged, and left with helpful information.

Zocdoc forced me to confirm my appointment four times and submit photos of my ID front and back four times. I arrived and the doctor was not in that office on the day of my scheduled appointment. I was not contacted or notified of any changes. They originally had my appointment for some other date which no one ever knew what date the appointment was, then somehow they found me on the following day, which I deliberately did not book because I was required to attend a meeting at our work headquarters. This whole experience was terrible and likely would have been just fine without Zocdoc never being involved. The provider was excellent once I got there and I was seen by a PA who treated me and I am very pleased with everything at their Costa Mesa location.

Honestly, probably one of the best experiences I've had going into a doctors office. The staff were super friendly. They got me checked in right away as a new patient, and then I only had a small wait before being seated in a room. After a couple of questions from an assistant, Doctor Kleinfelder joined our room in no time at all. Bedside manner was great, explained everything super clearly and answered every question I had with data that backed it up and also with empathy/understanding. Exiting process was just as easy as I was directed to someone who helped out with prescriptions and follow up appointments. Just a smooth and stress free experience from beginning to end. Would definitely recommend if you are in need!

I've never been to a dermatologist before, but since my workplace provides excellent insurance I decided I'd address all my issues at once. I went in with the primary concern of a new mole that I'd grown on the side of my finger closer to my palm that looked a bit abnormal, as well as chronic scalp itchiness/dandruff, and a large keloid on my earlobe from piercings. Even though I came with multiple concerns, they were all addressed swiftly and I was surprised how quickly everything was done! I got my mole removed for biopsy with a numbing shot, and a steroid shot for my keloid, and a prescription to help with my scalp issue. I wasn't there very long at all and all my questions were answered in a concise manner, which I appreciated. No long wait times for procedures here! All the staff were so friendly as well. Highly recommend!

This was my first visit to this office, booked based on glowing five-star reviews. The office was clean, and the staff was friendly—I was checked in and seen quickly. However, the overall vibe felt off. When Dr. Kleinfielder walked in, his demeanor felt like surface-level LA niceness. His bedside manner didn’t seem genuine, and the appointment felt rushed, as if he was eager to move on. I came primarily for a cosmetic concern, which wasn’t even addressed. While he listened to my issues, he breezed through them, recommending antibiotics without much explanation. When I asked which one, he hesitated, as if questioning why I’d ask. The entire appointment lasted about eight minutes, and as I left, he was more engaged with his staff and their phone than with me—he didn’t even say goodbye. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but it certainly didn’t live up to the rave reviews. I’ll see him again in a month, but I’m not convinced he’s the right fit.

Be prepared to get everything you could ever want from your dermatologist. He has extensive knowledge about dermatological conditions, has amazing cosmetic experience, AND has a great personality. I mean, what more could you want?? 20/10 would recommended to literally anyone.
