Finding a psychiatric provider can be a daunting experience. I am a bilingual Spanish-speaking provider who understands the importance of providing culturally competent care. I am a Columbia-trained and nationally board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 plus years of experience working in hospitals and clinical settings; treating people suffering from a variety of mental illnesses.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My treatment focus is eclectic in nature using strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic treatment, and motivational interviewing. I often combine treatment but most of the time I see patients for medication management only.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Our sessions are a safe space free of judgment and taboos. I believe the relationship between a provider and a patient is one of the most important aspects of psychiatric work. I look forward to having an initial phone conversation to see how can I help you.
