I have experience in managing HIV, primary care, sexual health including PrEP/PEP, transgender nonbinary care (TGNB), chronic conditions, urgent care, Testopel hormone pellets injections, pelvic care, cervical and anal pap smears, warts treatment, and gender-affirming hormone therapy. Before AHF, I supported people living with HIV and transgender/queer patients at the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center in New York City. I have more than three years of experience as a registered nurse working in critical care, cardiovascular diseases, and with the medical and surgical patient populations. With two bachelor’s and two master’s degrees, I am proud to be transgender and am passionate about providing care regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, social status, or other social determinants. I chose AHF because I believe in their mission to provide cutting-edge medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay. Also, I am excited about the opportunity to further my clinical research in HIV, LGBTQ+, and transgender care. Fun fact: I am originally from the Middle East (Kuwait). As a frequent traveler and professional hiker, I’ve been to 20 countries and 25 states and have hiked hundreds of trails. I love the beach, yoga, and swimming.
