About Dr. Rebecca Nguyen
Dr. Rebecca Nguyen was born in San Jose, California. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. She then attended medical school at the University of Michigan where her passion for dermatology first started. She became interested in the visible nature of skin pathologies, which often led to stronger patient-physician partnerships. After earning her medical degree, Dr. Nguyen continued at the University of Michigan to pursue residency training in dermatology. Dr. Nguyen is committed to creating a compassionate environment for patients to ensure that they feel valued and heard throughout their treatment journey. She aims to empower patients with knowledge about their skin health, treatment options, and preventive measures. She is thrilled to be a part of the Coastal Dermatology team, where she can continue to pursue her passion for dermatology, provide exceptional care to patients, and help them embrace the confidence that comes with healthy, beautiful skin. In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys baking new recipes and her go-to favorites include pandan-flavored cookies and a burnt Basque cheesecake. She also enjoys going on walks with her new Shih-Tzu puppy, Louie.
