The provider flat out didn’t show up for the appointment, so I called up the office and was told there was a “mixup” and they had to rebook me the next day so I moved all my meetings to join the next day, only to get a text 5 minutes before the rescheduled appointment to say after reviewing my intake form the doctor could not provide me any support so they cancelled. Really shocking a mental health provider would behave this way, without even a phone call or apology, especially concerning that the doctor is clearly only reading intake forms minutes before appointments. I would have been completely understanding if they called well in advance to explain and really tried to find me a new provider but to receive a text a few minutes before after having not bothered to show up the previous appointment really disappointed me.
