“Dr. Sand has been so helpful. She really listens and tries to get to the root of what is going on. Every other doctor I've seen for years has not been nearly as thorough. I feel like I'm finally starting to get back on the right track after years of feeling bad and being ignored by other doctors. Dr. Sand is also great at explaining things and sending detailed session notes very quickly after each session. I definitely recommend her and the Wisdom team. ”

About Dr. Rebecca Sand

My style of medicine emphasizes compassionate listening and honors the body’s innate wisdom to heal. Some of the conditions that I treat are IBS, SIBO, Candida, Crohn’s, UC, heartburn, food sensitivities, GERD, chronic bloating, endometriosis, recurrent vaginal or bladder infections, painful or heavy periods, PCOS, autoimmune disease, menopause, and hormone imbalances. I also love supporting patients adjunctively with fertility, pregnancy, and the post-partum period. I am trained in a wide range of Eastern and Western healing modalities that I incorporate into my practice. Some options you might be offered include: supplements, acupuncture, cupping, maya abdominal therapy, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, dietary guidance, mind-body regulation techniques, pharmaceuticals (when needed), and Chinese herbal medicine. Prior to medical school, I studied genetics and Mandarin while working in biomedical laboratories in the U.S. and China. Some of my research included heart stent coatings, novel treatments for blood-based cancers, HIV therapies, and vaccine development for infectious diseases. In pursuit of a more comprehensive healthcare system, I also spent over 10 years studying under traditional healers in Tibet, China, India, and Polynesia to integrate the wisdom of ancient healing systems into modern care. As a result, I am passionate about creating dynamic, individualized treatment plans, taking into account the whole person and their environment. I know firsthand how debilitating chronic disease can be, having dealt with my own complex gut and hormone conditions for over 15 years. My personal experience led me to develop collaborations with diverse integrative providers to provide a better platform of care for my patients. As an ND, I love being able to know my patients on a deeper level. Together, we can create a truly individualized treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.

Dr. Sand is very knowledgable concerning the GI. After long frustrating hour spent with my local GI, I found Dr Sand and I formulated a plan to move forward and check in often. I would recommend a visit to anyone seeking clarity.
I always look forward to my visit with Dr. Sand! She is an excellent listener and I never feel rushed during our appointments. She addresses all of my symptoms and not only treats them but educates in the process. She offers multiple treatment options and helps decide which would work best. Appreciate the knowledge sharing!
Dr. Sand has been absolutely incredible to work with. Rarely have I had someone as knowledgeable, thoughtful And straight forward as she has been. I came to her at my wits end with medical issues and she has delivered healing and has rebuilt my belief that I can find a medical practitioner that will really listen to me and help me recover from a multitude of concerns. I will consistently encourage others to seek out medical advice and treatment from her.
Dr. Sand was so thorough and knowledgable! It was like night and day from my previous doctor visits and I felt so seen and understood. She really listened to me and validated my experience. She shed light on some connections in my symptoms and health history that I wasn't aware of previously and it really was a lightbulb moment for me to hear and understand those connections better. After doing some testing to identify the root cause of the fatigue and menstrual issues I had, she made targeted recommendations for my care plan that included supplement, nutrition, and lifestyle support. It's been about 2 months since my initial visit and I am already feeling so much more energized, clear-headed, and have even noticed that my last couple of cycles felt almost normal! I can't thank Dr. Sand enough and am so excited for what's to come form the positive trajectory that I'm currently on!
