What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that the best mental health care starts with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and open communication. My goal is to provide a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns and asking questions. During our first appointment, we will take time to discuss your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current challenges, and treatment goals. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, lifestyle recommendations, and referrals when appropriate. I value shared decision-making and want you to feel informed and involved throughout your care. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized because I recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to mental health. Whether you are seeking help for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or another concern, I am committed to helping you achieve lasting improvements in your mental health and overall well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to gain a clear understanding of your symptoms, medical history, mental health history, lifestyle, and treatment goals. This allows us to develop a personalized plan that is tailored to your unique needs. If medication is appropriate, we will discuss the benefits, risks, and alternatives so you can make informed decisions about your care. I also incorporate supportive psychotherapy, education, and practical coping strategies during medication management visits to help you better understand and manage your symptoms. Follow-up appointments focus on monitoring your progress, evaluating how you're responding to treatment, addressing any side effects or concerns, and making adjustments as needed. My goal is to provide collaborative, evidence-based care in a supportive, judgment-free environment where you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your treatment.
