About Regina Ottan
Dr. Regina Ottan-Obi, FNP, DNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Copperfield Family Clinic in Houston, Texas. She provides comprehensive care for the whole family. Dr. Regina Ottan-Obi earned her associate degree in nursing from Wayne County Community College in Detroit, Michigan. She earned her master's degree in nursing education (MSN-ED) from the University of Phoenix in Arizona. After graduating with her MSN-ED, Dr. Regina Ottan-Obi worked as an adjunct faculty member in behavioral health at Texas Woman’s University and the University of St. Thomas in Houston. She has been an assistant professor at the University of St. Thomas since 2019. Dr. Regina Ottan-Obi continued her education at South University in Savannah, Georgia, earning her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).

I made attempts to contact the office they don’t pick up the phone. they say to call or they’ll cancel my appt they don’t answer the phone. i arrive 15 minutes early as requested but the office was not open. i waited an extra 10 minutes after my appointment but they never opened. no messages were sent out about my
appointment no calls were made.

I do not recommend this doctor or establishment. During my initial visit, I felt that nothing was accomplished. When I returned for a follow-up appointment, only half of the necessary tasks were completed, and no one called to schedule another appointment. Be prepared to wait all day for the doctor and feel rushed during your appointment. I suggest finding another place where your time is valued and where staff demonstrate good bedside manners.

I scheduled an appointment and called to confirm it. The answering service assured me my appointment was scheduled and said the office would call me. They never called.
I then drove to the facility, only to find it closed. I was searching for Copperfield Family Clinic, but it turned out to be Copperfield Urgent Care. When I called the number back as instructed, it directed me to Native Urban Healthcare. I called again and spoke to the same person from the answering service, who simply said, “Oh, they’re closed.”
This experience was completely unprofessional. I am deeply disappointed in both this app and the service provided by the facility.

Front desk staff was amazing but when I came back I noticed that the paper exam roll was on the floor. The doctor wasn’t even there to do my initial exam. I did blood work and my urine was collected. I came back to the room and was waiting for a long time, then a person came and said I could leave after I peaked my head out the door. I wouldn’t recommend the facility at all if you truly care about your health.

She genuinely cares about your well being. Very helpful and straight to the point, and her bedside manner is excellent. Also the woman who took my blood was very experienced and got it on the first try which made me feel at ease.

Doctor did not out on gloves when examining me, even if it was just a basic exam. Assist did not grab a new alcohol wipe after putting the first one on table, it was reused. The paper on exam table roll is on the floor behind pillow.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this doctor's office. After my visit, it took them over 48 hours to communicate about in a crucial medication that I urgently needed. Then never sent the prescription to the pharmacy. Considering the seriousness of my condition, this delay was completely unacceptable and potentially life-threatening.
Moreover, their communication was abysmal throughout the process. I was left in the dark about the status of my prescription, despite multiple inquiries. It felt like I had to constantly chase them down for updates, which only added to my stress and frustration.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this doctor's office to anyone. Timely and effective healthcare is non-negotiable, and unfortunately, they fell short on both fronts.

The doctor is pretty ok but her staff is very unprofessional. Front desk receptionist tried to sell me her used Valentino bag and touched my hair asking if it was real or synthetic, which I found to be slightly racist. I went in another time for IV therapy and front desk receptionist stuck me at least 6 times before sending me home and rescheduling me so she could make another attempt on a different day. She claims there was infiltration because I don’t drink enough water instead of admitting that she didn’t know what she was doing. I went in today for a check up and was late. The receptionist responded by asking me why I was late and then proceed to tell me that the doctor left for a family emergency. Had I known this information before hand I could have saved gas or scheduled an appointment with a different provider. Again the Doctor is decent but her staff is a poor reflection of her practice. That said, I will be finding another provider to assist me.

Scheduled for an annual with NP 6/19. MA ( really nice) just took my vitals, bloodwork and had me pee in a cup. Didn’t see any provider & no call or notif that no provider was in office. Labs came in sat 6/22, called back & didn’t get answer so I left a VM, sent a message through their website trying to get my results or see if they have patient portal, no reply. Called Monday about getting my results, MA told me they don’t have a portal but can email them to me. They never did so I called next day & Nurse at reception just said they were busy. 6/26 the nurse receptionist called me to cancel an appt. & I complained about communication asking about my results, she didn’t seem to care & just said “do you want to be seen today?” Then scheduled a phone call visit for 12:30 and didn’t get a call until 3. Told her I haven’t got results all she said was I’ll send it to you. NEVER SENT THEM! I had to leave work early to go pick them up in person bc they wouldn’t sent it to me. Just awful!!!!

I was expected to have an appointment with this doctor but apparently they are traveling and have no one to fill in for their spot while they are away for 3 weeks. I feel this is very unprofessional to only have one doctor in an entire medical practice who is unavailable. I’ve been rescheduled multiple times for this doctor and have yet to be seen.

The receptionist was rude and the staff seemed very untrained like nobody really knew what they were doing. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone especially if you are needing immediate care and clear
results.

Small, local and convenient location for me and possibly my family. Was not aware of office until search performed on ZocDoc (which I love, love, love!) I love an app that allows you do create an appointment as opposed to calling, leaving message, website viewing, etc. Apps are so much easier. Great staff and doctor visit.

The papers you fill out are very long and repetitive. The male doctor laughed when I was handed the forms because he knew it was too long. The questionnaire is random and pointless. Even though I filled out my name and date of birth 100 times the nurse still put the wrong date of birth on my blood labs! They refused to prescribe proper pain medication. Even though I brought my empty bottle of pain meds which I was previously prescribed by the er. I recieved a piece of paper for a referral to take to a dr which they said I need to find on my own. I don’t see how that is a referral.
