Reginah Nampinga, APRN, RN

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
1721 Hewitt Ave, Ste 504, Everett, WA
With over a decade of dedicated experience in psychiatric care, I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys. My career has spanned the full spectrum of care—from supporting patients through acute crises in emergency and inpatient settings, to providing comprehensive, long-term outpatient care at different organizations in King and Snohomish County. I believe that true mental wellness requires a collaborative, holistic approach. In my practice, I combine thorough diagnostic evaluations and expert medication management with supportive therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. Whether you are managing a chronic condition, navigating a difficult transition, or seeking lifestyle changes for relapse prevention, my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where we can work together with your broader care team to help you thrive. When I’m not working directly with patients, I enjoy comedy, gardening, cooking, spending time with friends and family and giving back to the psychiatric community by precepting and mentoring the next generation of graduate nurse practitioner students.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I firmly believe that you are the expert on your own life. Because of that, my approach involves a lot of listening and clarifying before offering professional guidance—we are a team. In that same spirit of teamwork, your safety is my top priority. To give you the best, most effective care possible, it’s vital that I have a complete picture of your overall wellbeing, including any medical conditions or substance use. What we don't look at together can limit our treatment options, so open communication ensures we can move forward safely and effectively.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first step together is a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, which takes about 60 to 75 minutes. This gives us ample time to dive deep into your history and current goals. To help us make the absolute most of our time together, I highly recommend completing the intake forms beforehand and sending over any past mental health records for me to review before we meet. Ongoing follow-up visits typically take 30 to 45 minutes, depending entirely on your unique needs. During these appointments, we won't just focus on prescriptions; I frequently weave brief, targeted talk therapy into our medication management sessions to ensure we are supporting both your mind and body.
