I'm a physician who focuses on evidence-based spine care, rehabilitation, and helping people build long-term resilience—not just temporary pain relief.
My approach begins with understanding your story and performing a thorough mechanical assessment to identify how your symptoms behave with movement. Rather than relying on routine imaging or passive treatments alone, I use current research, clinical expertise, and your individual goals to develop a plan tailored specifically to you.
I have advanced training in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT/McKenzie Method) and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, sciatica, disc-related disorders, headaches, sports injuries, and joint pain. Treatment may include education, individualized exercise, spinal manipulation or mobilization when appropriate, soft tissue techniques, dry needling, shockwave therapy, therapeutic exercise, and other evidence-supported interventions. Every recommendation has a purpose, and my goal is to help you become progressively less dependent on treatment over time.
Whether you're hoping to get back to work, return to the gym, play with your kids, compete in sports, or simply move through life with more confidence, we'll build a plan that matches your goals and your lifestyle. I believe lasting results come from combining symptom relief with improving strength, movement capacity, and overall physical resilience.

I’ve seen Dr. Barrett for many different pains and injuries. He always makes me feel significantly better and is never in a hurry. I see him for recovery and maintenance as well. I recommend him to all of my friends.

I have been a patient of Dr. Barrett’s for probably over 2 years now; he is a gentleman, very intelligent, and actually gets to the root of your issues versus nursing symptoms. He does not treat anyone like a patient, but more like a friend or family.

Dr. Barrett is a great listener, and has a terrific bedside manner. He quickly understood my issues, and clearly and thoroughly described a treatment plan. We worked through some initial exercises which relieved my pain, and he followed up with email instructions for exercises at home. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know who is in need of a chiropractor.
