Dr. Reina Factor, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 18 years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan, emphasizing individual and group interventions involving the family. She earned her Ph.D. and Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, holds a Bachelor’s from Emory University, and completed post-baccalaureate training at UCLA’s Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. Dr. Factor has specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure response prevention (ERP), pivotal response training (PRT), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), Joint Attention, Symbolic Play, Engagement, and Regulation (JASPER), RUBI parent training, the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Preschoolers, Adolescents, Young Adults, and Careers; the Stress and Anger Management Program (STAMP), and Family Focused Therapy, tailoring these interventions for all ages. She offers school observations to inform treatment and tailor recommendations. Dr. Factor has trained in assessments across inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings and has extensive experience in parent training and family involvement in therapy. In addition to her work at Spectrum Psych LA, Dr. Factor is Director of Outreach and Dissemination at the UCLA Tarjan Center, an Attending Psychologist in the PEERS® Clinic, and runs the Parent Training Program and PEACE Program (for parents of adolescents) through the UCLA Friendship and Parenting Clinic.
