About Renee Miller

Southern Speech Pediatrics, LLC is a therapist-owned speech therapy practice providing quality, individualized speech therapy services through teletherapy, home, and daycare visits to toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. All new patients are seen through telehealth for the initial appointment. Subsequent appointments can be in-person or continue via telehealth, depending on the patient's needs. Meet Your SLP: Renee is nationally certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds a license to practice in Florida. Raised in a military family, she lived in many states before relocating to Panama City Beach, Florida. Renee earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University (Go Noles!) in 2010 and began her career as a first-grade teacher. With experience teaching in an inclusion classroom and serving as an academic interventionist, she returned to Florida State University to obtain her Master's degree in Communication Science and Disorders. Renee has experience working with school-age children in school settings, as well as with toddlers and preschoolers in daycare and home environments, addressing a variety of speech and language needs. Her areas of interest include early intervention for toddlers and preschoolers, expressive and pragmatic therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, treatment of articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive delays, fluency disorders, developmental disorders, and genetic disorders and syndromes. She is passionate about play-based therapy, early intervention, literacy-based treatment, and parent coaching. Renee enjoys collaborating with families to watch their children learn, grow, and carry over communication skills into their natural day-to-day environments.
