Renita Sanders, PMHNP

Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
IL
I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a passion for helping individuals improve their mental and emotional well-being. With dual certification, I bring a comprehensive, whole-person perspective to every client I serve. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and life transitions — particularly for adults navigating midlife changes, burnout, divorce, and work-life balance challenges. My practice combines thorough psychiatric assessment, medication management when appropriate, and supportive therapy tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I also place a strong emphasis on education and empowerment. I want you to understand your diagnosis, your options, and the reasoning behind your treatment so you can be an active, informed partner in your own care. When clients understand the “why” behind their treatment, they heal with greater confidence and intention. Whether you’re seeking help for the first time, looking for a fresh start, or simply ready to prioritize your mental health, I’m here to meet you where you are — without judgment, without rushing, and with your long-term well-being always at the center of our work together.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
