Getting to know Rhea Arias

I am Rhea Arias a nurse practitioner who specializes in psychiatry, based in Los Angeles—but thanks to Telehealth, I can connect with you anywhere in California. I speak both Tagalog and English fluently, so you can express yourself in the language that feels most natural. My approach leans toward thoughtful and safe medication management, but I also offer supportive talk therapy when it’s needed. I believe that even during difficult times, life still holds value. Together, we’ll work to improve your mood, relationships, family life, and sense of purpose—at a pace that feels right for you. I graduated from West Coast University, Los Angeles, with a master's degree in family psychiatric and mental health nursing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is steady and supportive. I take time to understand your full story—what you’ve been through, how you’re feeling, and what matters most to you. We’ll work together to create a treatment plan that feels safe and personalized. I focus on medication management, but I also offer talk therapy, coping tools, and lifestyle support when needed. I’ll meet you where you are, and when you’re ready, I’ll help you take the next step toward feeling better—emotionally, mentally, and in your everyday life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I offer secure Telehealth appointments anywhere in California, as well as in-person visits at my Encino office. Whether we meet virtually or face to face, we’ll work in a way that feels comfortable and fits your life. Our first visit will be a 60-minute comprehensive evaluation to understand your symptoms, history, and goals. Follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes but may be extended depending on your needs. I make sure everything is clearly explained, and that you leave feeling informed, supported, and truly heard. If you're already on medication, I’ll carefully review your current regimen to ensure it’s still right for you. If you're new to medication, I’ll walk you through your options at your pace. My goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that feels safe and personalized—every step of the way.
