After earning his medical degree at Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá, Colombia, Dr. Leano moved to the United States to continue his medical training, earning the equivalent medical degree and completing his internship and his residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He also earned a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in health care from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, graduating with an award of merit for academic excellence. He later earned his board certification in health care management. After spending many years working as an anesthesiologist, Dr. Leano enrolled in an interventional pain management fellowship to further his training and skill set. Dr. Leano is a board-certified anesthesiologist and board- certified pain management specialist.
