What is your typical process for working with clients?
I provide psychiatric medication appointments that focus on finding, adjusting, or monitoring non addictive prescriptions to treat mental health conditions safely and effectively.
Appointment Types and Frequencies:
Initial Consultation: This first visit lasts 45 to 60 minutes. I review your medical history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and previous treatments to establish a diagnosis and formulate a medication plan.
Follow-Up Visits: These routine check-ins last 15 to 30 minutes, that occur 1 time a month to help monitor symptoms. During a Follow-Up Appointment I track your symptoms and evaluate whether your target symptoms (such as depression, anxiety, mood shifts, or sleep disruptions) are improving. I also monitor for side effects: You will discuss any physical or emotional changes, such as nausea, weight fluctuations, fatigue, or emotional blunting.
Prescription Management: I then determine whether to maintain your current dose, adjust the dosage, switch medications, or issue refills.
I specialize in supporting clients with mild mental health concerns. I'm here to help with conditions like low acuity depression, anxiety.
Therefore I do not provide specialized care for:
• Severe mental health crises or suicidal thoughts
• Recent mental health hospitalization (within three months)
• Substance use concerns
• Autism Spectrum Disorder treatment/screening
• ADHD treatment/screening
• Disability/Off work orders/work accommodations
• Controlled medications: stimulants/benzodiazepines
