About Dr. Richard Mueller
Manhattan vein doctor Richard L. Mueller has six board certifications and holds the distinction of diplomate from the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine. Dr. Mueller is also board-certified in vascular medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography).
He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital.
With nearly two decades of experience in cardiovascular ultrasound imaging and cardiac catheterization, Dr. Mueller has the perfect combination of skills and expertise for treating vein patients.
Dr. Mueller personally performs all endovenous laser ablations, ClariVein? vein ablations, sclerotherapy treatments, and ambulatory phlebectomy treatments. He also personally interprets the initial ultrasound tests to create a specialized plan of care for each new patient.

Dr. Mueller is an extremely competent, knowledgeable and professional doctor. I have been seeing Dr. Mueller for many years and throughout these years, he’s consistently been very thorough and takes his time to explain - I always feel satisfied after each visit. I also like that all required testing, if needed, are done right in the office, which is a big plus. He has kept my husband alive wih his knowlage of medication, the right care and tesing.

He deserves 10 stars. Dr. Mueller is one of those who truly care and spend the time with you that you need - my first visit was a solid 1 hour of talking to the doctor. I have never had that experience before in my life. He also found appointments same day for some other issues - but the experience started even before I saw him - he texted me over a weekend about the upcoming appointment. Who does that ? He is very responsive and detailed. The best I have ever come across. We are trusting our lives with someone when we see a doctor - trust someone that cares about you and has time for you and is excellent. See Dr. Mueller.

I've been seeing Dr. Mueller for 5 years, and he's fantastic. Very attentive and thorough, he explains everything clearly and doesn't leave anything to chance. Since I've been with him, my heart function has improved a lot. I've referred my grandmother to him, and I've met several people in the waiting area who say he saved their lives, some even come from out of state! He's friendly, and the receptionist makes booking appointments quick and easy. Highly recommend Dr. Mueller!

Dr Mueller always provides excellent medical care. He is thorough and explains things clearly. He discusses alternative approaches to treatment with expertise but also common sense and realism. He connects cardiac issues to other conditions that may be causing or affecting them. He tracks developments in my condition and revisits recommendations in light of any significant changes.

Dr. Mueller has been my cardiologist (and primary care physician) for more than 25 years and has been instrumental in keeping me going past age 77. He stays on top of my medical needs and is available day and night to deal with any issues that come up. He is friendly, caring and thoughtful about steps that are needed to resolve medical issues that come up. His expertise is state of the art for coronary care.

My parents and I have known Dr. Mueller for over 15 years. My visits with Dr. Mueller are always great. Dr. Mueller provides excellent patient care. He is very professional and extremely caring about his patient's well-being. He listens and educates his patients on what, how, and why certain treatments or procedures are necessary.
If you want a Cardiologist, that will be there for you 110%, then you will choose Dr. Richard Mueller. He is the best, I will stay with him until I die.

A good chance, Dr. Mueller saved my life. I was seeing my previous cardiologists for 15 years due to my family’s history of cardiology problems. I had no symptoms and my labs were within normal readings. I sought a change, and I was promptly able to schedule an appointment, I discussed my family history and my medical records. He quickly developed a plan and scheduled various tests. Dr. Mueller discussed his findings and recommendations after each test, he took his time to explain the results and addressed my questions and concerns. Within 5 weeks he identified two serious blockages which would eventually require stents. The doctor performing the procedure said I was very lucky I sought treatment. My time in the waiting room was minimal, and my evaluation was efficient and complete. I have complete confidence in Dr. Mueller and highly recommend him.

Dr Mueller is a consummate professional who makes his patients his priority when they visit his office. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with courtesy and respect from his front desk. Once in the examining room Dr. Mueller spends as much time as you require to explain any issue you might have, the possible causes and follow-up treatment. Dr. Mueller takes his time to make sure you understand what is going on and explains every test he may suggest you take. I have been Dr. Mueller's patient for well over 12 years and I make the trek to see him at least twice a year from Phoenix, Arizona. My treatment over that period of time has been nothing but stellar and I always leave his office confidant that my A-fib condition is held in check. I have never left an appointment with him concerned with any of his recommendations or suggested testing and medication. I find Dr. Mueller to be outstanding in every measurable category and I look forward to him continuing to be my cardiologist

I’m an RN who is the healthcare proxy for my 91 year old Aunt. Dr Mueller addresses EVERY question I have regarding her care. He thinks out loud, includes you on his thought process. I find him very thorough, combing through every issue. He offers numerous options/solutions that are “standard protocol” then customizes his care (out loud) to the individual patient with great consideration of needs/rescources/limitations.
His staff are a responsive, professional, friendly group who work very well together. We have been with them for almost 20 years and satisfied. I feel like I have a support system I can count on.
