Richard Yadon, APRN

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
377 Riverside Dr., Ste 302, Franklin, TN
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of MindCare Health in Franklin, Tennessee. I work primarily with driven professionals—executives, entrepreneurs, attorneys, and high-capacity adults—who appear successful outwardly but feel mentally overloaded internally. With years of nursing experience and advanced psychiatric training, I combine evidence-based medication management with practical, integrative strategies. My focus goes beyond symptom relief. I evaluate sleep, stress, executive function, lifestyle patterns, and performance demands—because high achievers don’t just want to feel “less anxious.” They want clarity, focus, steadiness, and sustained energy. Many patients seek care for adult ADHD, anxiety, burnout, mood instability, or complex medication questions. They value thorough assessment, clear explanations, and a structured plan tailored to real-world responsibilities—career, leadership, and family. Working with me is collaborative and direct. You can expect careful listening, thoughtful clinical judgment, measurable goals, and ongoing refinement. My aim is simple: help you think clearly, regulate effectively, and perform at your highest level without sacrificing your health or your values.

Getting to know Richard Yadon

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of MindCare Health in Franklin, Tennessee. My aim is simple: help you think clearly, regulate effectively, and perform at your highest level without sacrificing your health or your values.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is structured, collaborative, and outcome-focused. I combine evidence-based psychiatric care with practical strategies designed for high-functioning adults who want measurable improvement—not just insight. Treatment begins with a thorough assessment of mood, anxiety, attention, sleep, stress load, and lifestyle patterns. When medication is appropriate, I prescribe thoughtfully and conservatively, with clear rationale and close monitoring. The goal is precision—using the lowest effective dose and adjusting based on functional results. Psychotherapeutically, I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and executive function coaching. We identify unhelpful thought patterns, reduce avoidance behaviors, strengthen emotional regulation, and build structured systems for focus and productivity. For ADHD, this includes routine development, behavioral activation, and practical planning strategies. Sessions are direct and goal-oriented. You can expect clear feedback, actionable steps between visits, and regular reassessment of progress. My aim is to help you build durable skills, improve mental clarity, and create stability that supports both professional performance and personal well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is structured, thorough, and focused on clarity. We begin with a detailed conversation about what brings you in—current symptoms, stressors, goals, and what feels most urgent. I’ll ask about mood, anxiety, focus, sleep, medical history, past treatments, and lifestyle factors that may be influencing how you feel and function. If ADHD is a concern, we review developmental history, patterns of attention and executive function, and how symptoms show up in work and daily life. If anxiety, burnout, or mood concerns are primary, we examine triggers, coping patterns, and functional impact. This session is not rushed. My goal is to understand how your brain operates in the context of your real responsibilities and pressures—not just assign a label. By the end of the visit, you can expect clear impressions, an explanation of what may be happening clinically, and a structured plan. That may include further evaluation, medication options if appropriate, therapy strategies, or targeted lifestyle adjustments. You will leave with clarity about next steps, defined goals, and a collaborative path forward.
