About Riley Eidson

Riley has experience as the lead dietitian of a residential eating disorder recovery center where she developed her passion for helping others heal their relationship with food. Riley addresses nutrition concerns with a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach and considers the whole person. She understands that relationships with food are complex and enjoys helping others sift through their beliefs around food. Her passion for helping others experience peace with food and begin to nourish their bodies without guilt is the driving force of her work. Riley aims to create a safe environment to explore each clients unique relationship with food. In the first session, Riley will guide you through questions to understand your overall goals for nutrition counseling and to get to know you more as a human. These questions will cover topics such as medical history, history of dieting and relationship with food, a typical day of food, and more. Riley understands that relationships with food are complex and that there can be anxiety around discussing this, you do not have to rush this process and she encourages you to share information at your own pace. Her overall goal for this session is to understand your goals and to create a safe space for you to explore your relationship with food.

I think even though this was really just an introductory, and we didn't really get too much into what changes I should make. She asked the correct questions to help her develop a plan for me to start in our next session.
