About Rima Vaidya
Rima Vaidya has had a passion for working in the medical field for as long as she can remember. After graduating from high school, Rima went on to college and received her undergraduate degree from Chamberlain University in 2018. She then spent three more demanding years at Chamberlain University to earn her master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
“I love primary care, as I get to know my patients so much better than I did when I worked in the hospital setting,” says Rima with an abundance of enthusiasm. “I remember as a kid, I always wanted to be a nurse. I loved learning about the anatomy of the body and enjoyed being around people. Becoming a nurse was the perfect fit for me.”
Rima explains that working in primary care is rewarding because she gets to see her patients' progress from one visit to the next. The beauty of primary care lies in fostering relationships with patients and providing more personalized care. She adds, “Making the shift from the ER hospital environment to Family Practice was a jump. Coming to First Medical Care has been a joy. The staff was very welcoming, and the environment is very pleasant. I very much enjoy working with this team.”
Born in India and raised primarily in the United States, Rima still speaks fluent Gujarati. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, taking long hikes, and enjoying different cuisines.
