About Dr. Rinku (Mehra) Sandesara

Rinku Mehra, MD, MBA, practices Pediatric Endocrinology in Northern Virginia and by telemedicine in Maryland, Virginia, Iowa, and Florida. She is board-certified in Pediatric Endocrinology and Obesity Medicine. Dr. Mehra uses your insurance for labs, radiology studies, and medication, but the visit is out of network with all plans. Extensive and Broad Experience Prior to launching her practice, she served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Children's National Medical Center in DC and subsequently as Medical Director of Pediatric Endocrinology at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia. She also has experience working as a Medical Officer at the Food and Drug Administration and serving as a consultant at 2ndMD to provide second opinion services to patients with pediatric endocrine concerns across the United States. Awards and Recognition Dr. Mehra was named a Top Doctor by Northern Virginia Magazine each year from 2015–2023 and a Top Doctor by Washingtonian Magazine from 2019–2024. In 2022, she earned her Physician Executive MBA from The University of Tennessee's Haslam School of Business.
