Dr. Barlow was fantastic. Best doctor's visit I've had in years, honestly. Great bedside manner, very thorough, and just pleasant to talk to. The wait for the visit was pretty long though.

Hello, I've been trying to contact you all week to schedule an annual examination. You do not use zoc docs anymore to schedule appointments and nobody is answering the telephone on the 25th and 26th of February 2016. I scheduled a new appointment with a different doctor but I really didn't want to do that. Is your office still in business?

Dr. Barlow is always worth the wait! Once he is in the room you are his sole priority. He listens, asks thoughtful questions, and often has ideas like books and other non-medication therapies to use in a complementary way.

I hope that today's delays were the exception to the rule. It can be difficult to find a doctor that I feel comfortable with, and so far, this is a winner.

This is the kind of GP your grandmother warned you about! (I mean that in a good way.)
Dr. Barlow is the kind of doctor who takes the time to listen, but also know when he needs to dig more or if he's pressed for time he'll very respectfully defer "until next time". What's also great is his 'no-nonsense, Columbo-style' approach to something bothering you that warrants deeper consideration.
I'm not saying Dr. Barlow isn't human, he's busy, after all a doctor, but has rightfully earned his reputation. If you take nothing else from this just know that I debated even writing this for fear of causing his practice to swell and wait times to increase. In the end, other people deserve to find great doctors like him and that's exactly what this app/site are for and thus my fingers are clicking away.

Dr Barlow has been my primary care doctor for over 10 years. Most of my office visits have been pretty routine, but this one had more serious overtones to it. His bedside manner is good and his advice is spot on. I appreciate that the visit doesn't focus entirely on medical issues,

This was THE most positive experience I have *ever* had at a doctor's office (esp as a new patient)... Dr. Barlow addressed every question I had (I had a whole list of things I wanted to talk about on a few papers I brought in with me), he was incredibly conversational, easy to talk to, accepting, advising, & showed so much care... Actually typed up & gave me a plan of action right there on the spot. Everyone else I dealt with at the office were similarly wonderful... And a super-duper plus? IN HOUSE BLOOD DRAWS! If anyone in the Portland area is reading this, & needs a new Primary Doc, go here. Seriously.
