Dr. Barlow was fantastic. Best doctor's visit I've had in years, honestly. Great bedside manner, very thorough, and just pleasant to talk to. The wait for the visit was pretty long though.

A genuine, professional doctor that takes the time to discuss your problems and allow you to offer your own thoughts.
Verified patient
Other than the wait time everything went fine. The office was able to handle blood work, ear tests, etc. in house.
This was a blood draw appt for labs. Excellent customer service. Was able to get a flu vaccine upon asking.
He is very friendly, not rushed and listens to what you have to say. He is very thorough in his approach.

Dr Barlow is always thorough. He asks both routine and complex questions and elicits feedback

In the part "wait time" has been 30 minutes or longer. The visit was helpful and successful.
Went well, told him my problems and he diagnosed it right away and prescribed medications
I would prefer to wait to see the Dr. in the waiting room instead of in the exam room.

Hello, I've been trying to contact you all week to schedule an annual examination. You do not use zoc docs anymore to schedule appointments and nobody is answering the telephone on the 25th and 26th of February 2016. I scheduled a new appointment with a different doctor but I really didn't want to do that. Is your office still in business?

Dr. Barlow was fantastic. Best doctor's visit I've had in years, honestly. Great bedside manner, very thorough, and just pleasant to talk to. The wait for the visit was pretty long though.
Verified patient
Dr. Barlow is always worth the wait! Once he is in the room you are his sole priority. He listens, asks thoughtful questions, and often has ideas like books and other non-medication therapies to use in a complementary way.
Verified patient
I hope that today's delays were the exception to the rule. It can be difficult to find a doctor that I feel comfortable with, and so far, this is a winner.
This is the kind of GP your grandmother warned you about! (I mean that in a good way.) Dr. Barlow is the kind of doctor who takes the time to listen, but also know when he needs to dig more or if he's pressed for time he'll very respectfully defer "until next time". What's also great is his 'no-nonsense, Columbo-style' approach to something bothering you that warrants deeper consideration. I'm not saying Dr. Barlow isn't human, he's busy, after all a doctor, but has rightfully earned his reputation. If you take nothing else from this just know that I debated even writing this for fear of causing his practice to swell and wait times to increase. In the end, other people deserve to find great doctors like him and that's exactly what this app/site are for and thus my fingers are clicking away.

Dr Barlow has been my primary care doctor for over 10 years. Most of my office visits have been pretty routine, but this one had more serious overtones to it. His bedside manner is good and his advice is spot on. I appreciate that the visit doesn't focus entirely on medical issues,
I have been seeing Dr. Barlow for over four years now, and he has been caring and considerate and a great health partner throughout. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Barlow to anyone, I have been extremely happy with his ability to take the time to explain every test and number to me while injecting comedy and compassion.
Verified patient
Doctor Barlow has been my primary for years. I appreciate him because he listens to me, takes my concerns seriously, and my treatment plan feels like a collaborative effort. He's also just super nice. :)
Dr. Barlow spent TIME with me, discussed my quality of life, not just the symptoms, etc. He's personable, asks questions, is concerned about his patients. Highly recommended!

Visit today was a short wait of about 10 minutes. Doctor was extremely cordial and attentive. Answered my questions to my satisfaction and gave me thorough and caring advice on my hig blood pressure treatment.
Verified patient
This was just a visit for blood draw prior to seeing the Doc for a physical. A 2 minute wait, 2 minutes to draw my blood and I was out of there and on my way to work.
Verified patient
Most enjoyable, Dr Barlow is very personable:)
Verified patient
I always enjoy Dr. Barlow, but like I told him, I DO NOT enjoy endless waiting. I sat waiting for 45-minutes, 35 of it sitting in an empty room staring at the walls.
Verified patient
8:15am appointment and Dr. Barlow saw me pretty much right away. He took his time with me to learn what was going on in my life and offered a lot of positive encouragement and feedback. As always a great experience.
Verified patient
This was THE most positive experience I have *ever* had at a doctor's office (esp as a new patient)... Dr. Barlow addressed every question I had (I had a whole list of things I wanted to talk about on a few papers I brought in with me), he was incredibly conversational, easy to talk to, accepting, advising, & showed so much care... Actually typed up & gave me a plan of action right there on the spot. Everyone else I dealt with at the office were similarly wonderful... And a super-duper plus? IN HOUSE BLOOD DRAWS! If anyone in the Portland area is reading this, & needs a new Primary Doc, go here. Seriously.
Verified patient
This was a labs visit & the nurse/aide was extremely professional. Did not even feel the needle prick & the processing time was very fast.
Very thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Verified patient
Dr. Barlow is the best. I get excellent medical care by a doctor that takes the time to know me and understand my needs. Dr. Barlow is often not too timely, but I'm always happy I waited.
Verified patient
I trust Dr Barlow.

I always come out of appointments with Dr. Barlow feeling respected, heard, and understood. He remembers what's happening in my family, asks about my life and work, and overall makes me feel cared for by my doctor. Always highly recommended.
