Dr. Garrard is a member of Neal & Garrard, PLLC, a fully virtual psychiatry practice. He recognizes the challenges that patients and their families face navigating the mental health system. His goal is to deliver quality treatment to adults living in Washington state with mental illness.
Dr. Garrard earned his Bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College and received his Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College. He completed his residency at Mount Sinai West. He treats a wide range of conditions—anxiety, depression, ADHD, and addiction—and specializes in severe mental illness, including bipolar spectrum illnesses and psychotic disorders. He will work with you to customize a treatment plan designed to help you reach your goals from the convenience of your home.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Garrard is passionate about helping patients and their families living with mental illness. He takes a flexible, thoughtful, and pragmatic approach to patient care and recovery. Dr. Garrard strives to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. He provides patients with medical and therapeutic treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their own care.
Dr. Garrard obtained his B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and his M.D. from New York Medical College before completing his residency at Mount Sinai-St. Luke’s/West Hospitals in New York City. He is board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Garrard has a broad range of clinical experience working in emergency rooms, inpatient, and outpatient settings. He worked at the Bellevue Hospital Psychiatric Emergency Program before moving back to Washington State, where he works inpatient at Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital.

Initial session: $395 for 55 minutes
Ongoing session: $195 for 25 minutes

Payment must be made by credit card. You will be charged 100% of service fee for cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. We are out-of-network for all health insurance panels. We will provide you with a superbill which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. You will be responsible for all communications with your insurance company.

I really appreciate how fast I was able to be seen! Other places were not accepting appointments or the waitlist was too long and I never heard back. Dr. Garrard quickly returned my email, answered all of my questions and was very personable. I was able to meet with him virtually (no rush hour traffic to deal with) and the evening appointment hours were great so that I didn’t have to take time off of work.
