About Dr. Robert Samuelson

Dr. Robert Samuelson received his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in 1975. He received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1979. His internship and residency were completed at Beth Israel Medical Center where he was Chief Resident from 1982-1983. He then completed specialty training in Pulmonary Medicine and is currently a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Samuelson is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine-Pulmonary Diseases.
In addition to his schedule at Horizon Medical Group, Dr. Samuelson is currently a Service Attending Physician at Beth Israel Medical Center in both the Department of Medicine and the Pulmonary Division. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Albert EInstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Samuelson was named in the New York "Super Doctors" Listing in 2008 and 2009. He enjoys running, cooking and spending time with friends and family.

He listens!! I've been dealing with my issue since 2013. I've seen other doctors/pulmonologist and none of them helped while my issue only got worse and worse. They never even did a chest x-ray! Thank you Dr. Samuelson for listening! I feel confident that we are now on the right track. And the staff are great, too! Made me feel comfortable and relaxed during what could have been a stressful appointment.

I have been seeing Dr. Samuelson for many years. His office is very organized and there is never a wait time. Dr. Samuelson is very receptive to my concerns and always conducts follow up assessments. The results of testing are available on the iphone application and email which is very convenient.

I arrived early prepared to fill out any necessary paperwork. I was seen at my appointment time for vitals before I saw Dr Samuelson. He’s quick and efficient! He knew what questions to ask to get down to a solution. Saw him for a pulmonary consult, and I’m going back to see him for internal medicine.

I’m really appreciative of the care I am receiving at Dr Samuelson‘s office. I’ve been having a hard time with my asthma and he is really trying to help. His medical assistant and front desk staff are great. I always receive a call back and have been Squeezed in when I have had an urgency.
I should mention that I am a surgeon and I highly recommend this doctor and practice.

My first visit to this office for an annual physical. Be prepared with questions and to bring up issues you are concerned about. Otherwise the visit will be very short. Dr. Sameulson is nice and approachable and the office staff is quick and efficient.
