About Dr. Robert Welch

A 1986 graduate of the National College of Chiropractic, Dr. Welch also studied at Illinois State University, Purdue University and at Austria’s Salzburg College. Prior to beginning his university studies, Dr. Welch severely injured his lower back while playing sports and weight-lifting. It was during his rehabilitation that he discovered the full benefits of chiropractic care. The experience taught him that providing similar help to others would be a noble goal. During his studies at the National College of Chiropractic, Dr. Welch worked for three years as an associate to the doctor who helped restore his health. His unique first-hand experience as both a patient and a doctor-coupled with long, hot summers spent laboring in the steel mills of south Chicago- allowed Dr. Welch the opportunity to witness life through the eyes of those who live it. His experiences as a laborer, student, executive, professional and patient taught him the hazards various lifestyles pose to the human body. At Paragon Chiropractic, Dr. Welch relies on that experience to provide the very best of chiropractic care.
