Getting to know Dr. Robert Westerman
Dr. Robbie, DNP-PMHNP, is a proud doctoral graduate of a top-10-ranked program in the country, the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he was one of only 28 students accepted into the highly competitive PMHNP program. During his graduate training at University of Arizona, he developed and refined his skills and expertise in the mental health space. He specializes in treating depression, ADHD, anxiety, substance use disorders, and other mood challenges, working with patients of all ages—from children to adults. Dr. Robbie takes a thoughtful and personalized approach to medication management, tailoring care to meet each person’s unique needs.

With over ten years at the world-renowned Meadows Behavioral Healthcare, Dr. Robbie has gained extensive experience working with a diverse range of clients, including celebrities, athletes, musicians, and everyday individuals. His expertise covers addiction recovery, sex addiction, eating disorders, personality disorders, adolescent psychiatry, and general psychiatry. Beyond Meadows, he’s contributed his skills to leading organizations such as Calvary Healing Center, Fountain Hills Recovery, the Arizona Opioid Response Team, AZ Board of Behavioral Grants, Springridge Boarding School for Girls, and as an Adjunct Clinical Professor for PMHNP students.
Known for his compassionate care and sharp diagnostic skills, Dr. Robbie is dedicated to uncovering the deeper causes of mental health struggles. His mission is to empower his patients with the tools and insights they need to build meaningful, lasting recovery.

What should a new client know about working with you?
Why wait? Initially, I like to move fast and frequent with appointments and med changes. Changing a small dose every 4 weeks for someone struggling with crippling ADHD, anxiety, or depression can take what feels like forever. Depending on availability, I try and have a few visits the first month or two to get everything on point. This can take upwards of 6-9 months with most offices moving at a snail's pace! I try and supercharge this process.

He was very upfront and understanding, although our original video chat method thru Zocdoc didn’t work, Robbie managed to make sure that we got on that video call no matter what.
