Dr. Wilson is a highly respected, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with over 35 years of experience specializing in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of hand, wrist, and upper limb conditions. A graduate of Harvard Medical School (Class of 1988) and Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Wilson completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Howard University Hospital and a prestigious hand surgery fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. He is board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Wilson has served as Program Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Howard University, where he mentored and trained countless medical students and residents. He is deeply committed to education, service, and surgical excellence. In addition to his clinical practice in Washington, DC, Dr. Wilson has participated in numerous medical missions overseas, offering surgical care and training in underserved areas of Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Liberia. Dr. Wilson brings a wealth of experience, technical skill, and compassion to Avante Orthopaedics, strengthening our mission to deliver outstanding musculoskeletal care to our community.
