Roberta is a doctoral-prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner (DNP) who earned both her Doctorate in Mental Health Nursing and her Master's in Clinical Nursing from the University of San Francisco, California. She is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who treats patients struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and schizoaffective disorders. However, she is skilled at addressing a wide range of other mental health issues as well.
Dr. Roberta has over fifteen years of experience treating patients with various challenges. She has dedicated much of her life to advocating for and educating the general public about the impact and severity of mental illness. Her interest in mental health began at a very young age.

Dr. Iyamu believes everyone’s story is unique to their lifelong experience, so informed patient care is critical to her. She also believes everyone has the right to be fully involved in their care, so she uses patient-centered care in her practice.

If you’re looking for someone empathetic or easy to connect with, she might not be the best fit. She’s straightforward and to the point, and our chats were pretty monotone and very much like a check list. In the end, I got what I needed, but there were some awkward pauses during our heavy conversations.
