Getting to know Roberto Carmona
Born and raised in Cuba, Dr. Carmona received his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) in GI & Family Medicine at the Havana Medical School and practiced as a physician from 2002 to 2009. In 2007, Dr. Carmona moved to the Republic of Namibia in Southern Africa, where for two years he provided critical medical services to roughly twenty-five thousand people living in rural villages and isolated areas.
In 2009, Dr. Carmona immigrated to the United States. Dr. Carmona earned his Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Florida International University in 2014 and has been in practice ever since. He also obtained a post-master certification in psychiatric mental health and achieved his Doctoral degree in Nursing in August 2021.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I have been working with psychiatrists for 37 years and Doctor Carmona is definitely one of two doctors that I have found to be the best that I have ever worked with! He is really amazing and I have referred several friends to him already! Doctor Carmona is extremely knowledgeable, has excellent bedside manner, and is definitely solution – oriented! In addition, he is a really nice guy!

Dr. Carmona did a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation on me to correct my previous diagnoses and assured me that despite my case being a little more difficult (due to reactions with previous medications), he is committed to improving my symptoms. You can tell he wants the best for you. Very kind doctor, great bedside manner and put my nerves to ease. I would 100% recommend him to my friends and family.
